Role Overview
This is a full-time, on-site handyman position located in Toledo, OH. The chosen candidate will be responsible for a range of repair, maintenance, and light renovation duties, including minor carpentry, basic plumbing repairs, painting, drywall touch-ups, and installing fixtures. Daily tasks involve examining work orders, estimating required time and materials, executing jobs safely and efficiently, and keeping the work area tidy. The handyman will also communicate with supervisors and clients, keep thorough records of completed work, and report any issues needing specialist contractors. The role requires using company tools and adhering strictly to safety protocols while traveling between multiple job sites within the Toledo area.
Qualifications
- Proficient general repair skills encompassing basic carpentry, minor plumbing, and straightforward electrical tasks.
- Experience in painting, drywall repair, caulking, and fixture installation tailored to both residential and commercial properties.
- Competent in the safe use of hand and power tools; able to follow proper safety procedures and comply with building codes.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities with a commitment to detail-oriented and high-quality workmanship.
- Dependable time management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively and work autonomously with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with clients, supervisors, and colleagues.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for traveling to various job locations around Toledo, OH.
- Prior experience as a handyman, maintenance worker, or in construction is preferred; vocational training or relevant certifications are advantageous.
