Hairstylist

Overview

This role requires a qualified hairstylist to perform various hair care and styling tasks in a professional setting. Work must be conducted on-site at our LaSalle location; remote work is not an option.

Languages

Proficiency in English is required.

Education

• Possession of a trades certificate or diploma in hairstyling or an equivalent qualification.
• Relevant practical experience is considered advantageous.

Work Setting

Work will take place within a barbershop or hairstyling salon/studio environment.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and manage client appointments.
• Trim and cut hair according to individual client preferences.
• Perform shampooing services.
• Shave and trim facial hair such as beards and mustaches.
• Offer hair treatments including waving, straightening, tinting, and scalp conditioning massages.
• Apply bleaching agents, tints, dyes, and rinses to alter hair color.
• Style hair through cutting, trimming, tapering, curling, waving, perming, and more.
• Provide hairstyle recommendations tailored to clients’ physical features and preferences.
• Handle basic receptionist tasks when needed.

Credentials

• Must hold a valid Hairstylist Licence.
