Job description
Role Overview
We are looking for a Guidewire Policy Developer with 1 to 4 years of experience to join our team in Hyderabad. The role involves configuring PolicyCenter features, implementing approved technical designs, and supporting various insurance policy lifecycle functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Customize and configure PolicyCenter features according to technical designs.
- Develop Gosu language-based business rules and perform basic PolicyCenter Configuration Framework (PCF) customizations.
- Provide support for policy submission, quoting, binding, endorsements, renewals, cancellations, and reinstatements.
- Assist in API implementations and integration of web services.
- Execute unit testing, address defects, and maintain technical documentation.
- Participate actively in Agile development rituals, code reviews, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Essential Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of PolicyCenter configuration.
- Experience with Gosu programming and PCF fundamentals.
- Understanding of APIs and web services integration.
- Familiarity with policy administration processes and Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance domain.
- Strong programming skills coupled with debugging capabilities and eagerness to learn.
Preferred Skills
- Guidewire training or certification is desirable.
- Experience with Guidewire modules like Qusar, Palisades, Olos, Niseko, or Mammoth is advantageous.
- Awareness of Guidewire Cloud platform.
- Exposure to Java or other object-oriented programming languages.
