About The Role
Skyline Tours Limited, operating as Blue Peaks Lodge & Apartments, is seeking a motivated, versatile Guest Experience Agent for a permanent full-time position in Queenstown. This role involves hands-on hospitality duties where each day is unique. The position entails delivering exceptional guest service and supporting daily property operations through administrative tasks, housekeeping assistance, and basic maintenance coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Offer a professional and welcoming first impression to guests.
- Manage guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently.
- Handle reservations, guest inquiries via phone and email, and assist with payment processing.
- Provide comprehensive information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions.
- Address guest concerns and complaints promptly and courteously.
- Work collaboratively with housekeeping and other team members to ensure consistent guest satisfaction.
- Monitor and report issues related to health, safety, security, and maintenance.
- Assist in room inspections, support room turnovers, and help maintain cleanliness in public areas as required.
- Perform minor maintenance duties such as changing light bulbs and identifying basic maintenance problems.
- Coordinate with external contractors and service providers for major maintenance requirements.
- Maintain accurate records and complete administrative responsibilities linked to guest services.
The Ideal Candidate
- Possesses at least six months of relevant experience in hospitality, accommodation, tourism, or customer service, or holds an equivalent Level 3 qualification.
- Familiarity with Property Management Systems (PMS) and front desk or reservation software is preferred.
- Exhibits strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Delivers excellent customer service with strong interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrates a positive, proactive approach to problem resolution.
- Capable of working independently and handling competing priorities effectively.
- Has good organizational and time-management capabilities.
- Shows a basic aptitude for maintenance tasks and willingness to acquire new skills.
- Is flexible to work rotating shifts, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays.
Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly wage ranging from $29.00 to $30.00.
- Guaranteed minimum of 30 weekly hours, with potential to work up to 50 hours during peak seasons.
