About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced GRP Supervisor with at least 7 years of specialized experience in GRP/FRP piping within the oil and gas sector. The role requires overseeing all activities related to GRP piping including fabrication, installation, joining, lamination, repairs, and maintenance ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and project standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise the fabrication and installation of GRP piping systems as well as joining and repair operations.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of GRP piping repair techniques and procedures.
- Understand and work with a variety of piping materials typically used in oil and gas operations.
- Perform and validate site measurements, dimensional verification, and inspections regularly.
- Ensure full compliance with Permit to Work (PTW) systems and site safety protocols.
- Collaborate effectively with clients, engineers, inspectors, supervisors, and team members.
- Guarantee that all GRP work meets project specifications, approved methods, drawings, and client standards.
- Oversee joining and lamination processes applying the correct, approved repair methodologies.
- Coordinate inspection and testing efforts including visual checks, hardness testing, dimensional examinations, and hydrostatic tests.
- Detect quality non-conformities and enforce corrective measures before work acceptance.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure project timelines and quality standards are met consistently.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of hands-on experience in GRP/FRP piping execution within oil and gas environments.
- Comprehensive practical knowledge of GRP piping fabrication, installation, joining, lamination, and repair techniques.
- Sound familiarity with oil and gas piping materials, technical specifications, and on-site practices.
- Knowledgeable of Permit to Work processes, inspection criteria, and testing protocols.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting piping drawings, specifications, and repair instructions.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities with clients and multiple project stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership skills to efficiently manage and supervise site teams.
- Strong dedication to health, safety, environmental (HSE) standards, quality control, and project compliance.
