About the Role
We have been retained by a fast-growing international organisation employing over 1,300 people worldwide to hire a Group HR Director. This role is a pivotal position within a company experiencing significant expansion across the UK, Europe, the Middle East, Asia Pacific, and the Americas, with further ambitious growth planned.
Reporting to the CFO and as a senior leadership team member, the Group HR Director will lead the global people function through regional HR leaders and engage closely with the Board and key stakeholders across the business.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive global People and Culture strategy aligned with the company’s next growth phase.
- Establish and enhance organisational structure, processes, and HR technology platforms underpinning the global HR function.
- Lead, motivate, and collaborate with regional HR leadership teams to operationalise strategy across multiple countries and cultures.
- Partner with senior leadership and the Board to ensure HR initiatives support overall business objectives.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
- Proven capability in building HR frameworks and structures where none currently exist.
- A pragmatic leader able to balance strategic vision with hands-on execution.
- International experience managing HR operations across diverse jurisdictions and cultures is essential.
- Prior experience supporting business scaling within engineering, consultancy, or professional services is advantageous but secondary to international growth experience.
Additional Information
The position may be based in Edinburgh, Newcastle, Manchester, or London with a hybrid working arrangement requiring three days per week on-site. The role also involves occasional international travel.
