About the Company
The employer is a prospering international corporate group with locations across Europe and other global markets. Specializing in solutions for industrial and technical applications, the company is a recognized market leader within its segment. Due to ongoing expansion, they seek a skilled Group Accountant to take an active role in consolidated financial reporting and act as the primary contact for accounting matters at the corporate group level.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements in accordance with HGB and/or IFRS standards.
- Executing group consolidation processes including intercompany reconciliations.
- Analyzing and commenting on financial indicators and group financial statements.
- Ensuring compliance with accounting policies throughout the corporate group.
- Serving as the point of contact for international subsidiaries on accounting and consolidation questions.
- Participating in the enhancement and optimization of closing and reporting procedures.
- Supporting both internal and external audits as well as financial reviews.
- Contributing to special projects in finance, reporting, and compliance areas.
Profile and Requirements
- Completed degree in business administration focused on accounting, finance, or an equivalent qualification.
- Several years of professional experience in group accounting, consolidated financial reporting, or auditing.
- Strong knowledge of German Commercial Code (HGB) and preferably IFRS standards.
- Experience with consolidation and ERP software such as SAP, Lucanet, OneStream, or related systems.
- Excellent analytical capabilities coupled with a structured and autonomous approach to work.
- Proficient skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Fluent verbal and written communication skills in German and English.
