Position Overview

The Grocery Clerk plays a vital role, performing all assigned tasks with professionalism, accuracy, and timeliness. The role focuses on delivering excellent customer service to build loyalty, meet customer needs, and promote a positive environment for employees and shoppers alike.

Primary Responsibilities

• Strictly follow Food Safety Protocols, Standard Operating Procedures, Health and Safety guidelines, corporate policies, and other related initiatives.
• Order, receive, and display stock adhering to company inventory control standards as required.
• Deliver exceptional customer service tailored to shopper needs.
• Help boost store sales by actively promoting highlighted products.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of both back shop and retail areas to company standards.
• Prepare customer orders when needed.
• Handle department shrink processing as required.
• Assist in training junior team members.
• Perform any additional duties as assigned.

Candidate Requirements

• Ability to thrive independently within a fast-moving work setting.
• Strong communication skills, both spoken and written.
• Physical capability to lift up to 20 pounds, stand for extended periods, and perform tasks involving bending, lifting, and reaching.
