Position Overview

As a Grocery Associate at Walmart Canada, you will gain valuable experience in a dynamic retail environment. Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper zoning of the grocery department to ensure continuous customer readiness.
• Perform regular rotation of merchandise and remove any expired or damaged items to uphold product quality and freshness.
• Accurately label and price items following established protocols for ordering, clearances, markups, markdowns, and signage.
• Comply with food safety, handling, sanitation, and cleaning standards to keep a hygienic and safe working environment.
• Stock merchandise efficiently, execute downstock activities as required, apply product protection, and set up modulator shelving including flex modulars and new shelf caps.
• Adhere to health and safety policies and guidelines to maintain a safe, clean, and hazard-free workplace.
• Demonstrate flexibility by being open to working diverse shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, supporting smooth store operations and consistent customer service.

Challenges of the Role

• Manage demanding workloads in a fast-paced setting, effectively planning to stay alert and productive during overnight shifts.
• Handle large volumes of restocking and recovery tasks efficiently and accurately within set time frames.
• Perform physical activities such as standing for long durations, bending, and lifting inventory or supplies up to 20 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Execute repetitive duties like stocking, zoning, and organizing products with precision to maintain store standards.

Compensation

The starting hourly wage for this position is $16.50.
