  • Proficient in modern C++ with practical knowledge of memory management, performance optimization, and concurrent programming techniques.
  • Familiar with modern graphics APIs such as DirectX 12, Vulkan, and Metal.
  • Practical experience designing and editing shaders using HLSL/GLSL languages.
  • Strong understanding of 3D mathematics including linear algebra and vector mathematics foundational to 3D rendering.
  • Experience working on multiple platforms with good knowledge of platform-specific constraints and rendering performance tuning.

Preferred Experience

  • Proven record of shipping games through full production cycles across consoles, PCs, or mobile devices.
  • Experience working with Unreal Engine 5’s rendering systems and shader technology.
  • Familiarity with custom or multi-platform game engine rendering pipelines.
  • Knowledge of standard rendering techniques like Physically Based Rendering (PBR), post-processing effects, and compute shaders.
  • Experience with multi-threaded programming and graphic debugging/profiling tools such as PIX, RenderDoc, or Nsight.

Benefits & Work Culture

  • Annual performance bonus and up to 3% contribution to RRSP.
  • Comprehensive health benefits along with supportive maternity and parental leave policies.
  • Flexible hybrid work setup allowing use of studio spaces and remote work depending on project needs.
  • Mental health support through Employee Assistance Programs, three weeks paid vacation, and complimentary gym access at the Burnaby studio.
