Job description
About Vinarchy
Vinarchy is a leading company uniting some of the world’s most recognizable wine names such as Jacob's Creek, Hardys, St Hugo, and Petaluma. The company thrives by blending rich heritage with innovative ideas to create a dynamic business environment.
Role Overview
As a Graphic Designer within the in-house Creative team based in Sydney, you will play a vital role in bringing the brand portfolio to life across diverse channels including retail, digital platforms, social media, events, and shopper marketing. Reporting to the Head of Content & Creative East, you will engage in a fast-paced and hands-on role where each day presents new creative challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and shape the visual identity for multiple brands including Jacob's Creek, St Hugo, and Petaluma, ensuring a consistent and distinctive presence.
- Maintain and uphold the visual standards across all deliverables, including work from agencies and partners.
- Participate early in the briefing process to integrate design thinking from the initial stages of projects.
- Create campaign materials, social media content, video and motion graphics, retail displays, and shopper marketing assets.
- Brief and manage external creative agencies and production partners, reviewing outputs to ensure brand alignment.
- Transform ideas from initial concepts to polished, on-brand assets swiftly and efficiently.
- Effectively juggle multiple projects and deadlines, prioritize workload, manage time wisely, and communicate proactively about shifting priorities or schedules.
- Set a high standard of craftsmanship and creativity for the brands under your care.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have experience from creative agencies, FMCG companies, or other fast-moving commercial environments, demonstrating the ability to handle multiple projects and stakeholder expectations simultaneously.
- Proven proficiency in hands-on graphic design with a penchant for execution over discussion.
- Capability to create both static imagery and engaging video content.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines while managing competing tasks.
- A personal perspective on brand aesthetics, able to articulate and defend creative decisions clearly.
- Enjoys working in a high-velocity environment without compromising quality or craftsmanship.
- Thrives on variety and diverse creative challenges rather than long timelines focused on a single brand.
- Portfolio exhibits versatility across different brands and communication platforms.
- Keen interest in emerging technologies, including the use of AI to enhance creative projects.
- Motivated to continually learn, develop skills, and advance one's creative career.
Technical Skills Required
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Cloud suite: Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro, and After Effects.
- Experience producing video content and fundamental motion graphics.
- Deep understanding of design principles and visual storytelling techniques.
- Ability to articulate creative rationale and design choices clearly.
- Knowledge of best practices for content design tailored for various platforms.
- Strong can-do attitude complemented by excellent organizational and time management capabilities.
Desirable Skills
- Familiarity with Figma for design collaboration.
- Experience with project management tools such as Monday.com.

- Paid parental leave and loyalty leave offering an additional week off after five years.
- Vinarchy anniversary day off and an annual flu vaccination program.
