- Provide technical leadership and foster alignment across engineering teams.
- Define and sustain reference architectures, design standards, and patterns for middleware, APIs, and distributed systems.
- Design cloud-native, containerized services and integration solutions that are scalable, secure, and highly available.
- Manage API lifecycle covering design guidelines, version control, traffic management, and consumption models.
- Collaborate with DevOps, security, and operations teams to facilitate observability, automation, and readiness for production environments.
- Offer architectural guidance, perform design reviews, mentor engineering staff, and engage relevant stakeholders and vendors.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline with at least 4 years of relevant professional experience.
- Proficient in Go (Golang) or Kubernetes with minimum 1 year of practical backend service development experience.
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design and implementation.
- Experience working with microservices architecture and inter-service communication.
- In-depth knowledge of Go concurrency primitives including goroutines and channels.
- Competence in SQL and/or NoSQL database technologies such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and Redis.
- Hands-on experience with containerization tools like Docker and basic Kubernetes concepts.
- Familiar with Git version control and modern Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery pipelines.
- Understanding of security practices including authentication and authorization.
- Ability to produce clean, testable, and maintainable code with unit and integration testing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud service providers including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Knowledge of event-driven system architectures using technologies like Kafka, RabbitMQ, or NATS.
- Familiarity with API gateways, service mesh technologies, and reverse proxies.
- Exposure to observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry for logging, metrics, and tracing.
- Experience supporting systems requiring high availability and high throughput.
- Background in DevOps practices and troubleshooting production issues.
Soft Skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively in diverse teams.
- Effective communication and documentation skills.
