Role Summary

The Global Payroll Specialist will handle end-to-end payroll operations across multiple countries, ensuring accuracy, compliance with local laws, and delivering a smooth employee payroll experience. This role demands solid judgment to resolve intricate payroll issues, handle employee inquiries, and maintain data integrity within integrated systems such as Workday and ADP Celergo.

Key Responsibilities

• Process payroll comprehensively for various international entities using ADP Celergo.
• Review payroll data, conduct audits including gross-to-net checks, variance analyses, and retroactive adjustments.
• Manage off-cycle payroll runs, corrections, and special payments adhering to service levels and controls.
• Investigate and settle complex payroll discrepancies and employee questions.
• Ensure strict adherence to local statutory regulations, company policies, and internal and external audit standards.
• Execute control procedures, maintain thorough documentation, and support audit activities.
• Validate payroll data integration between platforms, collaborating with IT to resolve system related issues.
• Work jointly with internal departments and external vendors to guarantee accurate and timely payroll execution.
• Assist with payroll system upgrades, testing new features, and incorporating payroll for new countries.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce manual effort.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong payroll processing expertise and compliance knowledge specific to Ireland.
• Desirable knowledge of payroll procedures in the UK, Malta, and India.
• Ability to analyze and apply critical thinking to solve complex payroll challenges and determine root causes.
• Experience using integrated payroll and HRIS systems such as Workday and ADP Celergo.
• Keen analytical capabilities with meticulous attention to detail and control adherence.
• Capacity to handle large payroll volumes independently within tight deadlines.
• Proficient communication skills to explain complex payroll matters effectively.

Minimum Education and Experience

• A degree or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 4 years of relevant payroll experience.
• Preferred background working with multi-country or international payroll environments.
• Practical experience with Workday and Service Now platforms.
• Essential expertise with ADP Celergo payroll system.

Compensation and Benefits

McKesson offers a comprehensive Total Rewards package supporting physical, mental, and financial health, with competitive base pay ranging from €49,900 to €83,100 depending on experience and performance. Additional compensation elements such as annual bonuses and long-term incentives may also be provided.
