Role Summary

The Global Payroll Specialist will manage comprehensive payroll operations spanning several countries, ensuring precise, compliant payroll delivery and maintaining an excellent employee experience. The role involves applying judgment to resolve complex payroll concerns, managing queries, and ensuring data accuracy across systems such as Workday and ADP Celergo. Additionally, the specialist will handle audit requirements and pursue process improvements to increase efficiency and minimize manual workload.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end payroll processing for multiple international entities using ADP Celergo.
• Review and verify payroll inputs, conduct payroll audits including gross-to-net calculations, variance analysis, and retroactivity.
• Process off-cycle payrolls, adjustments, and special payments within service level agreements and controls.
• Investigate and address complex payroll discrepancies and employee questions.
• Ensure adherence to local statutory regulations, internal policies, and audit standards.
• Execute control checks, maintain thorough documentation, and support internal and external audit activities.
• Validate payroll data transfers between systems and collaborate with IT teams to resolve integration or data-related problems.
• Work closely with internal departments and external vendors to ensure timely and accurate payroll delivery.
• Assist with payroll system upgrades, testing, and implementation of payroll for new countries.
• Identify and lead initiatives to improve payroll processes and reduce manual tasks.

Skills and Competencies

• In-depth understanding of payroll processing and compliance regulations in Ireland.
• Familiarity with payroll procedures in the UK, Malta, and India is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking capabilities to resolve intricate payroll issues and identify their root causes.
• Proven experience with integrated payroll and HR technology platforms, especially Workday and ADP Celergo.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a strong focus on controls.
• Ability to independently manage large workloads within strict deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex payroll concepts clearly.

Minimum Qualifications

• A degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Typically requires over 4 years of relevant payroll work experience.
• Experience handling payroll in multi-country or international settings preferred.
• Hands-on expertise with Workday and Service Now platforms.
• Essential experience with ADP Celergo payroll software.

Compensation and Additional Information

Compensation is competitive and reflective of performance, skills, experience, equity considerations, ongoing market analysis, and geographic factors. The base salary for this role ranges from €49,900 to €83,100 annually. Additional compensation may include bonuses or long-term incentives.
