About the Role
The DataCenter Service and Datacenter Cloud System (DCS) team supports TikTok's rapid expansion by building and maintaining hyperscale data centers globally. This involves managing server fleet lifecycles, delivering cloud solutions, and developing scalable, reliable infrastructure services.
Key Responsibilities
- Review design plans for electromechanical and related systems in new data centers, and assess the efficiency and stability of existing designs.
- Assist with technical procurement management for global data center projects, evaluating various technical proposals.
- Participate in engineering commissioning discussions, developing test plans to validate design objectives.
- Support facilities operations teams by helping create response strategies to handle design limitations and potential risks.
- Perform on-site inspections to detect operational risks in computer rooms, ensuring consistent, safe, and stable data center operations.
- Provide emergency technical assistance on-site during incidents and contribute to technical assessments after incidents.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or HVAC.
- Proven experience leading commissioning teams to conduct Levels 1 through 5 commissioning tests, validating design intents and troubleshooting technical issues during implementation.
- Knowledgeable of global data center industry standards and capable of reviewing data center design drawings.
- Practical experience in electrical and/or mechanical engineering fields including generators, chillers, cooling towers, AHUs, UPS, and power distribution systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with high attention to clarity and detail.
