About the Role
Join Fulton Hogan in Canterbury as a GIS Specialist, playing a critical role in designing and supporting web-based geospatial tools that transform complex spatial data into actionable insights for infrastructure projects. You will collaborate with diverse teams to enable smarter decision-making and contribute to delivering resilient infrastructure across Aotearoa.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, configure, and maintain geospatial solutions utilizing the ArcGIS platform, emphasizing web mapping application development.
- Oversee management of web maps, applications, and content within ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Enterprise environments.
- Provide GIS services such as data processing, spatial analysis, quality assurance, and interactive digital information products that aid business processes.
- Engage with stakeholders to gather technical requirements, document workflows, and architect practical geospatial solutions tailored to project demands.
- Foster effective partnerships internally and externally to encourage wider geospatial technology adoption.
- Proactively identify enhancements in data integration, operational efficiency, and decision-making while prioritizing safety, quality, and environmental responsibilities.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of three years' professional experience setting up and deploying geospatial solutions leveraging ArcGIS technologies.
- Strong grasp of spatial workflows within the Esri ArcGIS ecosystem and proficiency with Safe Software FME products is preferred.
- Experience delivering web GIS applications, carrying out data processing, performing spatial analyses, and executing quality control in applied business contexts.
- Confident collaborator capable of building rapport across both technical and non-technical teams.
- Excellent organizational, planning, and problem-solving abilities with adaptability to shifting priorities.
- A solid commitment to safety, quality standards, and thorough execution especially under high-stakes conditions.
- Prior exposure to infrastructure, construction, or comparable industries is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Autodesk AEC Collection, 12D, or similar digital engineering tools is beneficial but not mandatory.
