GIS Planner - Electric Network

Role Overview and Responsibilities

• Convert electric network data, including distribution and transmission information, from GEMS mapping and legacy systems into Smallworld and other GIS platforms.
• Create, edit, and update engineering designs and associated data following customer requirements.
• Meet client and project-specific productivity and quality targets.
• Carry out project tasks and additional assignments as required.
• Collaborate efficiently with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain high data quality, security, and integrity across the entire data lifecycle.
• Explain complex technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Liaise with project management regarding technical challenges, quality standards, deadlines, and scheduling.
• Demonstrate strong communication and presentation abilities.
• Adapt quickly to new processes with a committed work ethic.
• Work flexible shifts as required: First shift 06:30 AM-04:00 PM, second shift 04:00 PM-01:30 AM, night shift 09:00 PM-06:30 AM.
• Willingness to work with staggered weekly offs and full-time from office premises.

Candidate Profile and Experience

• Preferably candidates with experience working on Ausgrid projects.
• 3 to 5 years of professional experience using Smallworld GIS and AutoCAD software for electric network planning.
• Graduates from any discipline are welcome to apply.
