GenOps Engineer

Overview

We are looking for a skilled GenOps Engineer with expertise in Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing Kubernetes environments that host AI and platform services, ensuring these systems are robust, scalable, secure, and performant. This role also involves automating build and deployment workflows, integrating monitoring and logging solutions, and troubleshooting incidents to minimize downtime.

Primary Responsibilities

• Operate and optimize Kubernetes/Oracle Kubernetes Engine (OKE) environments that support AI and platform services.
• Ensure production systems exhibit high availability, scalability, and security.
• Design, develop, and maintain continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to automate building, testing, and deployment phases.
• Implement code quality assessments, automated test suites, and artifact promotion workflows across different environments.
• Deploy and manage monitoring, logging, and tracing tools to improve visibility and accelerate incident resolution.
• Troubleshoot technical problems proactively and reduce mean time to recovery (MTTR) during outages.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to enhance software release processes and workflows.
• Automate operational tasks leveraging DevOps best practices and ensure continuous delivery of AI-powered features.

Required Skills & Expertise

• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Oracle Kubernetes Engine (OKE).
• Proficiency in CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Strong knowledge of containerization using Docker.
• Solid understanding of Linux systems administration.
• Expertise with Git version control.
• Experience setting up and managing pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms.
• Competence in monitoring, logging, and observability solutions.
• Infrastructure automation skills including scripting with Bash and Python.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues and manage incident response efficiently.
• Basic knowledge of networking concepts and cybersecurity principles.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related discipline is required.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of practical experience in DevOps, GenOps, cloud or platform engineering, CI/CD engineering.
• Proven background managing production environments and systems with high availability.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and particularly Oracle Kubernetes Engine (OKE).
• Familiarity with AI platforms or AI-augmented applications.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
• Experience with observability platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or OpenTelemetry.
• Relevant cloud or Kubernetes certifications considered an advantage.
