About the Role
Join the team at Desert Islands Resort & Spa by Anantara, a part of Anantara Hotels & Resorts, renowned for its luxury hospitality deeply connected to Thai culture and authentic guest experiences. This role is dedicated to maintaining the staff accommodations to ensure a secure and pleasant environment for all team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting daily preventive and corrective maintenance work throughout the staff accommodation facilities.
- Addressing maintenance requests spanning electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, air conditioning, and general building upkeep.
- Regularly inspecting rooms, communal spaces, equipment, and facility infrastructure to spot and address maintenance needs promptly.
- Performing routine cleaning, basic servicing, and preventive upkeep of air conditioning systems.
- Undertaking minor repairs involving electrical components, plumbing fixtures, painting, and other general maintenance tasks.
- Responding promptly and efficiently to maintenance complaints and emergency situations raised by colleagues.
- Ensuring all maintenance activities are conducted with safety, efficiency, and quality standards in mind.
- Properly managing tools, equipment, and maintenance resources to uphold operational readiness.
- Escalating major defects, equipment failures, or significant maintenance issues to supervisory staff.
- Coordinating and supporting external contractors and specialized technicians as required.
- Maintaining cleanliness and good housekeeping standards in all work areas after maintenance completion.
- Adhering strictly to company policies related to health, safety, hygiene, and accommodation management.
- Exhibiting flexibility to work in a remote resort setting and supporting the accommodation team aligned with operational demands.
Qualifications and Experience
- Previous substantial experience as a General Technician or Maintenance Technician, preferably handling diverse maintenance tasks.
- Practical knowledge of fundamental electrical, plumbing, air conditioning, painting, and structural maintenance.
- Experience in maintaining staff accommodations or properties such as hotels, resorts, or residential sites is advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting and resolving maintenance issues effectively.
- Ability to function autonomously and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to interact effectively with team members.
- A commitment to safety and reliability combined with a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Preparedness to reside and work in a remote resort location.
