About the Role
We are inviting applications for an experienced General Practitioner to join a reputable hospital based in Ras Al Khaimah. The selected GP will be responsible for delivering comprehensive primary healthcare to patients of all ages, encompassing diagnosis, treatment, and management of a variety of medical conditions. This role emphasizes holistic and patient-focused care, coordination of specialist referrals, and active support of preventive health programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct outpatient consultations for diverse medical issues presented by patients.
- Diagnose and manage acute ailments such as infections, minor injuries, and respiratory problems, as well as chronic illnesses including diabetes, hypertension, and thyroid diseases.
- Carry out routine health assessments, screenings, and preventive care evaluations.
- Order and interpret diagnostic laboratory and imaging tests to formulate treatment strategies.
- Perform minor medical procedures like wound care, suturing, and administering vaccinations.
- Refer patients to specialized departments such as gynecology, pediatrics, and cardiology when advanced treatment is required, ensuring seamless continuity of care.
- Educate and counsel patients on lifestyle modifications, disease prevention, medication adherence, and overall wellness.
- Maintain precise and timely patient records complying with hospital protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in on-call duties, emergency support if necessary, and attend departmental meetings.
- Continuously update clinical knowledge by adhering to guidelines and engaging in professional development activities.
- Contribute to hospital-wide initiatives promoting health education and preventive care.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Possession of an MBBS degree along with a valid medical license recognized by DOH, DHA, MOH, or eligibility for such certification.
- A minimum of 2 to 3 years clinical experience in a relevant medical setting.
- Strong skills in clinical diagnosis and patient management.
