About the Role
A well-established hospital in Ras Al Khaimah is seeking a compassionate Pediatrician to become a vital part of their expanding medical team. This position involves delivering thorough medical care for infants, children, and adolescents, encompassing initial assessments, treatment plans, and preventive healthcare.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct outpatient consultations addressing a broad spectrum of pediatric health issues across infancy to adolescence.
- Execute routine health evaluations, monitor growth and development, and administer immunizations as per national health guidelines.
- Identify and manage both acute conditions such as infections and respiratory ailments, and chronic illnesses including asthma and developmental disorders.
- Provide urgent care and stabilization to pediatric patients when necessary, including in emergency or intensive care units.
- Advise parents or guardians on nutritional guidelines, developmental milestones, vaccination timelines, and overall child safety and wellness.
- Order and analyze diagnostic tests relevant to pediatric health, including laboratory and imaging studies.
- Collaborate with specialized pediatric departments such as cardiology, neurology, and endocrinology for complex cases.
- Ensure comprehensive and prompt documentation of patient records in compliance with hospital and legal requirements.
- Participate in on-call duties, neonatal care responsibilities, and departmental meetings as needed.
- Commit to ongoing professional learning to remain updated on pediatric clinical practices and guidelines.
- Contribute to hospital-led initiatives focused on child health awareness and preventive care programs.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Possession of an MD or MBBS degree with a specialization in Pediatrics.
- Holds a valid medical license from DOH, DHA, or MOH, or is eligible for one.
- At least three years of relevant clinical experience in pediatric care.
- A patient-centered and empathetic approach towards children and their families.
