Role Overview
This full-time or part-time, on-site General Practitioner position is based in Eastern View, Victoria. The role involves delivering complete primary care services, including diagnosing and managing acute and chronic medical conditions, performing preventive health checks, and providing continuous family medicine support.
Responsibilities
- Conduct patient consultations to assess and diagnose health issues.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests to inform treatment plans.
- Prescribe medications and provide clinical management.
- Collaborate closely with nurses and allied health professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain detailed and accurate clinical documentation.
- Educate patients about health conditions and preventive care measures.
- Participate in clinical meetings and adhere to current clinical guidelines.
- Engage in practice-based training and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Proven clinical expertise in General Practice and Primary Care, with the capacity to manage a broad spectrum of health presentations across all age groups.
- Background or training in Family Medicine emphasizing a holistic approach to individual and family health.
- Strong ability to collaborate with nursing staff and other clinical team members to ensure patient-centered care.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of clinical guidelines and best practices.
- Possession of a relevant medical degree, with full or provisional medical registration with the applicable medical board, and eligibility to work in Australia.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills, ensuring culturally sensitive and inclusive patient care.
- Capability to function independently and as a part of a multidisciplinary team within a general practice environment.
- Experience in regional medical practice and knowledge of Australian primary care systems are advantageous.
