Job description
Position Overview
We are looking for a dependable and diligent General Operational Worker to become a permanent member of our active maintenance team. This position entails maintaining civil infrastructure supporting the Transport and Public Access network within the Blue Mountains Council Local Government Area.
Key Duties
- Perform manual tasks such as pothole patching and sealing.
- Repair or replace roadside furniture including signs and guideposts.
- Maintain and construct footpaths, kerbs and gutters.
- Engage in concreting, drainage, and stormwater pipe maintenance.
Candidate Profile
The ideal applicant will bring a positive, can-do approach, be open to instructions, collaborate well in a team environment, and have proven or willing to acquire experience in maintenance activities. Holding a valid Construction Induction (White) card is required.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base annual salary starting at $54,601 gross.
- An adverse working conditions allowance of $1,189 annually.
- Superannuation contributions at 12%.
- Performance-based annual salary reviews and potential bonuses ranging from 1% to 3.5%.
- Annual increases as per award adjustments.
