General Merchandise Associate

Role Overview

Joining Walmart Canada as a General Merchandise Associate offers a valuable opportunity to grow your expertise in retail while delivering outstanding customer experiences. This position involves representing Walmart's core values, maintaining and organizing the general merchandise sales floor, stocking products, and supporting sales activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and courteously, assisting them by highlighting products and services, helping locate items, aiding purchase decisions, resolving issues, and referring concerns appropriately.
• Maintain coverage of designated sales floor areas, ensuring merchandise is well presented and organized.
• Zone and set up merchandise displays, relocate feature items to their proper modular positions, and recover merchandise from various store sections including the Customer Service desk.
• Provide backup support at the Front End and coordinate with team members to ensure proper floor coverage.
• Contribute to a safe and orderly working environment by following company safety protocols, completing safety logs, and securing displays and fixtures.
• Stock inventory, perform picking and downstocking duties as needed, apply product safeguards, and complete setup of modular displays including flex modulars and shelf caps.

Compensation

The starting hourly wage for this role is $17.75.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum age of 16 years.
