Job Overview
This role is for a General Manager position with a restaurant operating under an independent franchisee licensed to use McDonald’s branding. The franchisee is a separate employer from McDonald’s USA and handles all employment responsibilities for their restaurant, including recruitment, staff management, and scheduling.
About the Role
The General Manager is tasked with managing a profitable restaurant while ensuring strict adherence to McDonald’s high standards of Customer Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. Collaborating with leadership, the General Manager will set targets for the restaurant and develop strategic plans to meet these objectives.
A key duty is leading a team of Department Managers, guiding them to establish their own goals and supporting their progress through coaching. This leadership ensures continuous improvement across departments, which in turn enhances the overall restaurant’s performance.
The position may also entail hiring and cultivating Department and Shift Managers to sustain a strong leadership pipeline.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Candidates should have prior experience as a General Manager in high-volume settings, preferably with a background in quick service restaurants, hospitality, or retail. Applicants must be at least 18 years old for managerial roles in corporate-owned restaurants.
