Role Overview

The General Manager is charged with overseeing a profitable restaurant operation while ensuring it consistently meets McDonald’s rigorous customer standards for Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. This role demands leadership capabilities to drive results and maintain high standards.

Key Responsibilities

The General Manager collaborates with their superior to establish restaurant goals and devise actionable plans to achieve them. Leadership extends to managing a team of Department Managers who are accountable for specific restaurant areas. The General Manager supports these managers by helping set departmental targets, monitoring progress, coaching, and providing direction to enhance overall departmental performance, thereby improving the restaurant’s success.

Additionally, the General Manager may oversee the recruitment and development of Department and Shift Managers to build a capable leadership team for the future.

Requirements and Qualifications

Ideal candidates will have prior experience as a General Manager in high-volume environments, with a strong preference for individuals with backgrounds in quick service restaurants. Experience in hospitality or retail sectors is also valued. Candidates must be at least 18 years old to hold managerial roles in corporate-owned McDonald’s restaurants.
