Overview
This role exists within a restaurant owned and managed by an independent franchisee, distinct from McDonald's USA. The franchisee holds the license to use McDonald's branding and products but operates as a separate employer responsible for all employment-related matters.
About the Role
As a Shift Manager, you will lead shifts to ensure customers receive fast, friendly, and accurate service. You'll be instrumental in supervising crew members and other managerial staff to uphold the highest standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and oversee shift operations effectively.
- Monitor team performance and take corrective action as needed to meet McDonald's expectations.
- Maintain safety, security, and profitability throughout your shift.
- Communicate with the succeeding Shift Manager to ensure smooth shift transitions.
- Manage food safety, internal communications, daily maintenance, and crew operations.
- Ensure exceptional customer service and quality food preparation.
- Participate in scheduling and staff training efforts.
Requirements
- Previous leadership experience preferred, ideally in restaurant or hospitality sectors.
- Positive attitude and team player mindset.
- Flexible availability and enthusiasm for fast-paced environments.
- Must be at least 18 years old for managerial eligibility in corporate-owned outlets.
