Job Overview
This position is based within a restaurant run by an independent franchisee, not McDonald's USA directly. The franchisee holds the license to use McDonald's branding and food products and is solely responsible for all employment decisions including hiring, firing, scheduling, and supervision. McDonald's USA does not participate in these employment matters and will not see your application or have influence on hiring.
About the Role
As General Manager, you will oversee a profitable restaurant operation while ensuring compliance with McDonald's stringent standards for Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. Collaborating with your leader, you will establish goals for the restaurant and devise actionable plans to meet them.
Your leadership extends to managing Department Managers who oversee distinct restaurant areas. You will support these managers by goal setting, performance follow-ups, coaching, and guidance to enhance their departments’ success, ultimately elevating overall restaurant performance.
Additionally, you might handle hiring and nurturing Department and Shift Managers, forming a strong leadership team for the restaurant's future.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a General Manager running high-volume locations is preferred.
- Experience in quick-service restaurants is highly advantageous, though backgrounds in hospitality or retail are also considered.
- Must be at least 18 years old to hold a management position in corporate-owned McDonald's restaurants.
