Overview
This role is with a restaurant operated by an independent franchisee, not McDonald’s USA. The franchisee uses McDonald’s branding and products but operates as a separate employer responsible for all employment decisions. McDonald’s USA has no influence on hiring, firing, or other employment matters.
About the Job
As a General Manager, you will oversee the profitable operation of the restaurant, ensuring it consistently meets stringent standards in Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. Collaborating closely with your leader, you will establish and execute strategic goals for the restaurant.
Your leadership extends to managing Department Managers, helping them set their goals, monitoring their progress, and providing coaching to enhance their department’s performance—thereby improving the overall restaurant operation.
You may also be accountable for recruiting and developing Department and Shift Managers to build a strong leadership team for the future.
Candidate Profile
Success in this position typically requires prior General Manager experience at high-volume locations, preferably within the quick service restaurant industry or related fields such as hospitality or retail. Candidates must be at least 18 years old to hold this managerial role in corporate-owned restaurants.
