About the Role
This position is with a independently owned franchise restaurant licensed to use McDonald's trademarks and products, and not operated by McDonald's USA directly. If hired, the franchisee will act as your employer and will handle all employment-related matters including hiring, termination, discipline, supervision, staffing, and scheduling employees. McDonald's USA does not influence employment decisions or receive your application information.
Job Overview
The General Manager is accountable for running a profitable restaurant that consistently meets the stringent McDonald's standards for Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. Collaborating with leadership, the General Manager sets targets for the restaurant and devises strategies to achieve these objectives.
Success depends on managing a team of Department Managers, guiding them in goal setting, monitoring progress, and coaching to enhance departmental performance which in turn improves overall restaurant operations. This role may also include building and developing a management team by hiring Department and Shift Managers to ensure strong leadership for the future.
Candidate Profile
Preferred candidates will hold prior experience as a General Manager in high-volume locations, ideally within quick service restaurants, hospitality, or retail sectors. Applicants must be at least 18 years old to serve as a manager in McDonald's corporate operated restaurants.
