About the Role

A leading international logistics company is seeking a General Manager for its Dublin operations. This executive role encompasses full oversight of a multi-location logistics setup, including warehousing, European road freight, and third-party logistics functions. Reporting to the Managing Director for Ireland, the successful candidate will be a vital member of the senior leadership team responsible for operational effectiveness, team leadership, client satisfaction, financial results, regulatory compliance, and continuous advancement.

Core Responsibilities

  • Oversee the entire warehouse and logistics operations across multiple Dublin sites, driving operational strategy and business planning.
  • Enhance productivity, efficiency, and profitability while ensuring superior customer service and operational excellence.
  • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, high performance, and continuous improvement among a cross-functional team.
  • Maintain and surpass standards for health, safety, quality, and compliance in line with Irish and EU regulations.
  • Manage the operation’s profit and loss accountability, budgeting, and financial performance monitoring, collaborating closely with commercial teams to translate opportunities into operational delivery.
  • Build and nurture relationships with customers, commercial partners, and internal stakeholders, acting as a senior escalation point for critical issues.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives by leveraging technology, ERP and warehouse management systems, and operational data to optimize workflows and service quality.

Candidate Profile

  • Extensive leadership experience in complex logistics, 3PL, freight, or supply chain settings, specifically within multi-site environments.
  • Proven ability to manage large, multidisciplinary teams and deliver on operational, financial, and customer service objectives.
  • Sound commercial acumen with deep knowledge of P&L management, budgeting, and financial oversight.
  • Strong expertise in warehouse and logistics operations, KPIs, and performance measurement systems.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, able to engage across operational and executive levels.
  • Educational background at the graduate level or equivalent professional experience in the logistics sector.
  • Experience working within regulated logistics environments is a plus.
