About the Role
This position pertains to a restaurant operated by an independent franchisee, not McDonald’s USA. The franchisee holds the license to use McDonald’s branding and food but operates as a separate employer, managing all employment responsibilities including hiring, firing, supervision, and scheduling.
The General Manager will be accountable for managing a profitable restaurant that consistently meets McDonald’s stringent standards in quality, service, and cleanliness. This role involves collaborating with senior leadership to set and achieve the restaurant’s objectives.
Key Responsibilities
The General Manager leads a team of Department Managers by supporting goal setting, monitoring performance, and providing coaching to optimize departmental operations. Managing talent acquisition and development of Department and Shift Managers to ensure strong leadership for the restaurant’s future is also essential.
Candidate Profile
Preferred candidates have prior experience as a General Manager in high-volume restaurants, particularly in quick service, hospitality, or retail industries. Applicants must be at least 18 years old to qualify as managers in corporate owned restaurants.
