Job Overview
This role is with a separately operated McDonald's franchisee in Petersburg, VA, not directly with McDonald's USA. The franchisee independently manages all employment matters, including hiring, firing, and scheduling. McDonald's USA does not handle any employment decisions or receive your application details.
Compensation
The starting salary ranges from $50,000 to $65,000 annually.
About the Role
The General Manager is charged with operating a financially successful restaurant while ensuring it consistently achieves the high standards McDonald's sets for quality, service, and cleanliness. This is a critical leadership role requiring collaboration with executive leadership to establish and achieve restaurant goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of Department Managers, setting their targets, monitoring results, and providing coaching and guidance to enhance department performance.
- Directly support hiring and leadership development of Department and Shift Managers to maintain a qualified and effective team.
- Drive a culture of energy, purpose, and excellent service within the restaurant team.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Proven experience as a General Manager in high-volume quick service restaurant locations; hospitality or retail management backgrounds are also valued.
- Must be at least 18 years old to qualify for a managerial position.
