About the Role
This position is for a restaurant managed by an independent franchisee licensed to operate under McDonald’s branding and products. Employment is through the franchisee, not McDonald’s USA. The franchisee independently manages all employment matters such as hiring, discipline, supervision, and scheduling. McDonald’s USA does not influence employment decisions or receive applications.
Job Overview
The General Manager is entrusted with overseeing a profitable restaurant while maintaining McDonald’s stringent standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. This demanding role involves collaborating with leadership to establish and pursue operational goals.
Leadership Responsibilities
The General Manager leads a team of Department Managers, facilitating goal setting, monitoring progress, and delivering coaching to enhance departmental performance, thereby improving overall restaurant success. Hiring and developing Department and Shift Managers to build a strong leadership team is also a critical responsibility.
Candidate Profile
Ideal applicants possess prior experience as General Managers at high-volume, quick service restaurants or similar hospitality or retail sectors. Candidates must be at least 18 years old for corporate owned restaurants.
