Role Overview

The General Manager - Cloud & Compute will be responsible for directing the strategy, commercial outcomes, and complete delivery lifecycle of the Cloud and Compute product lines. Holding full profit and loss accountability, this role will drive sustainable revenue growth and margin enhancement, shape competitive product offerings encompassing CT’s proprietary cloud and public cloud partners, and guarantee secure, dependable, and commercially responsible customer solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and implement CT’s cloud and compute strategy to align roadmaps, capabilities, and investments with business growth and client priorities.
  • Create attractive cloud and compute products that facilitate new business acquisition, contract renewals, customer expansion, and market positioning.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Account Management, and Solutions teams on proposal development, client presentations, solution designs, and commercial strategies.
  • Explore emerging markets and technologies involving Microsoft Azure, CT’s sovereign cloud, Kubernetes, and related platforms.
  • Manage full P&L responsibilities including revenue, margin, expenses, budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance monitoring.
  • Develop pricing, packaging, and governance frameworks to enhance recurring revenue, profitability, utilization, and delivery efficiency.
  • Oversee secure, reliable, and high-performing cloud and compute projects across Azure, AWS, CT platforms, and associated technologies.
  • Strengthen governance relating to reliability, security, cost optimization, incident/problem/change management, and risk mitigation.
  • Promote standardization, automation, and ongoing process improvements to elevate delivery quality, scalability, and productivity.
  • Provide executive leadership with transparent reports on service metrics, commercial results, customer concerns, and identified risks.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-caliber cloud and compute team covering architecture, engineering, operations, and security domains.
  • Forge and maintain strategic partnerships with customers, vendors, and collaborators to bolster capabilities, commercial success, and customer satisfaction.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Comprehensive expertise in cloud and compute platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Kubernetes, Microsoft 365, and hybrid cloud solutions.
  • Hands-on experience in cloud architecture design, migration strategies, service modernization, managed services, governance, security practices, and operational enhancement.
  • Strong grasp of cloud security frameworks, identity management, networking, resilience strategies, financial operations (FinOps), automation, and compliance standards.
  • Proved leadership in directing technology services with accountability for P&L, quality assurance, and client outcomes.
  • Robust commercial and financial skills encompassing budgeting, forecasting, margin control, cost optimization, and business case development.
  • Ability to transform market trends and customer needs into pragmatic services, delivery methodologies, and growth avenues.
  • Comfortable navigating between strategic planning, executive leadership engagement, client interactions, and operational execution.
  • Confident and commercially astute leadership style focused on creating clarity, accountability, and positive momentum.
  • Excellent stakeholder communication and management skills spanning executives, customers, partners, and technical personnel.
  • Customer-centric mindset balancing quality, fiscal responsibility, and sustaining long-term relationships.

  • Relevant certifications in cloud technology, compute platforms, ITIL, security, or architecture are highly advantageous.
