About the Role
One Mobility Group is looking for a highly capable General Manager to spearhead its strategic expansion and growth in local, regional, and international markets. The role requires identifying and securing new business avenues, partnerships, and governmental projects within the mobility sector, encompassing public transportation and logistics domains.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Formulate and implement a comprehensive global business development plan consistent with directives from the Board of Directors.
- Scout and assess new prospects in mobility, transport, and smart city initiatives.
- Devise and deliver strategic business proposals to the Board.
- Create new business opportunities throughout the GCC, Middle East, and international territories.
- Establish and nurture government and transport authority partnerships.
- Lead contract negotiations and joint venture engagements.
- Manage involvement in government tenders and major transport contracts.
- Preserve positive relations with government bodies and regulatory agencies.
- Oversee vehicle and fleet procurement strategies, negotiating with global manufacturers.
- Champion adoption of cutting-edge mobility technologies, including EV, AV, and fleet management systems.
- Prepare and analyze business plans and financial forecasts for new business ventures.
- Track financial results to ensure profitability of initiatives.
- Represent and promote the company's brand at international forums and before key stakeholders such as government agencies and investors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Transportation, or related disciplines. An MBA is advantageous.
- At least 15 years in progressive leadership roles, with a minimum of 8 years at senior executive levels within public transportation or logistics sectors.
- Strong expertise in business development, government tender processes, and contract negotiations.
