Position Overview
This role is offered by an independently owned and operated McDonald's franchise, not McDonald's USA. The franchisee holds the license to use McDonald's branding and food products but operates as a separate entity and will be the direct employer responsible for all hiring, staffing, supervision, and employment decisions.
About the Role
The General Manager leads the operation of a profitable restaurant, ensuring that all critical customer service standards for Quality, Service, and Cleanliness are met or exceeded. This position involves collaborating with leadership to establish and pursue restaurant goals, managing Department Managers by helping them set objectives, providing ongoing coaching, and fostering departmental improvements to benefit the overall restaurant.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the restaurant to achieve financial profitability and maintain McDonald's customer service standards.
- Lead and support Department Managers in goal setting, progress tracking, and performance coaching.
- Recruit, hire, and develop Department and Shift Managers to build a strong leadership team.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Previous experience as a General Manager in high-volume quick service restaurant locations.
- Background in quick service restaurants preferred; experience in hospitality or retail is also valuable.
- Must be at least 18 years old to manage corporate-owned McDonald’s restaurant operations.
