Overview
This position is with a restaurant operated by an independent franchisee licensed to use McDonald's branding and products. The franchisee independently manages all employment matters, including hiring, staffing, and disciplinary actions. McDonald's USA has no involvement in employment decisions or application processing.
Compensation & Benefits
The starting annual salary ranges between $50,000 and $65,000. Additionally, there is a performance-based bonus program offering up to $1,000 per month.
Job Summary
The General Manager role requires leading a profitable restaurant operation that upholds McDonald's strict standards for quality, service, and cleanliness. Collaborating with leadership to define and achieve restaurant goals is essential. The General Manager supervises a team of Department Managers, supporting them in goal setting, monitoring progress, and providing guidance to enhance their departments, thereby improving overall restaurant performance.
Responsibilities
- Operate a profitable restaurant while maintaining McDonald's customer service and quality standards
- Set restaurant goals with leadership and develop plans to meet them
- Lead and coach Department Managers, helping them set targets and improve performance
- Manage hiring and development of Department and Shift Managers to build a strong leadership team
Candidate Requirements
- Prior General Manager experience overseeing high volume restaurant locations
- Background in quick service restaurants preferred; hospitality or retail experience also valuable
- Must be at least 18 years old for managerial position in corporate-owned restaurants
