Position Overview
This General Maintenance Worker role at Sodexo, located at the P&G site in Lima, OH, involves handling a variety of maintenance tasks that require technical knowledge across several trades. The position promotes safety and problem-solving skills, contributing significantly to a safe working environment.
Work Schedule and Location
The job is a full-time position with morning work shifts that vary by day; precise schedule details will be shared during the interview phase.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out maintenance activities or repairs across multiple skill areas such as minor plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, machine servicing, electrical fixes, installations, and vehicle maintenance.
- Perform routine tasks including changing light bulbs, installing paper dispensers, replacing filters, changing door locks, minor decorative repairs, and other maintenance duties that do not require a licensed tradesperson or journeyman status.
- Consistently attend scheduled shifts on time and with reliability.
- Execute other maintenance-related tasks as assigned depending on business and client needs.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum of two years of relevant experience in maintenance work.
- Hold valid licenses or certifications applicable for the specific work in the city and state of employment.
- Possess a valid driver's license.
- Be dependable, team-focused, flexible, and dedicated to fostering a safe and healthy workplace environment.
Compensation
The hourly wage ranges from $19 to $23.
