Role Overview
The General Labourer position at AGI Westeel Saskatoon plays a key role in manufacturing agricultural equipment components in alignment with detailed job order specifications. Responsibilities include setting up workstations, maintaining production schedules, ensuring health and safety protocols, and upholding strict quality control standards.
Team Environment
The candidate will become part of a dynamic group of approximately 10 multi-background team members collaborating closely with the broader AGI Sift Current Team. Reporting lines are to the Production Supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to fabrication processes and procedures in daily tasks.
- Maintain quality standards and meet designated production timelines.
- Prepare and set up workstations for manufacturing tasks.
- Uphold health and safety requirements consistently.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Familiarity with equipment and tools including their design, operation, repair, and upkeep.
- Ability to interpret blueprints and assembly manuals accurately.
- Commitment to production efficiency, quality assurance, and safety protocols.
- Capable of working autonomously with minimal supervision while also contributing to a team setting.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Open to receiving instructions and eager to learn new skills.
- Physical capability to lift weights up to 50 pounds comfortably.
- Must have reliable transportation to commute to the facility.
