General Laborer

About the Role

Atlas Roofing Shingle and Underlayment is hiring a General Laborer for its Daingerfield, TX location. This role involves various manual and operational tasks aimed at supporting daily manufacturing and shipping processes within the facility.

Primary Responsibilities

• Adhere strictly to all plant safety protocols, including the mandatory use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness throughout the facility, both indoors and outdoors.
• Assist production and shipping teams as needed to support operational flow.
• Operate forklifts safely and proficiently to fulfill assigned tasks, contingent on passing the required operator test.
• Perform general painting and upkeep duties in and around the facility.
• Empty trash containers regularly to uphold facility hygiene.
• Communicate with supervisors about any needed supplies to complete assigned work efficiently.
• Carry out other duties as directed by supervisory staff.

Experience and Requirements

• Must be willing and able to work rotating shifts, including overtime hours and weekend shifts as required.
• Must have proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English effectively.
• Ability to accurately read and utilize a tape measure is essential.
• Successful completion of forklift operator certification test is mandatory to operate machinery safely.

Education and Certifications

• Applicants must possess a High School Diploma or GED certificate.
