Job Overview
Working from a state-of-the-art Dexterra camp facility, this role follows a schedule of two weeks on-site followed by two weeks off, with shifts lasting 11 hours each day. Transportation is arranged from a designated pickup location to the work site in Moosonee, Ontario.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize kitchen and dining areas, including floors and tables.
- Maintain cleanliness of refrigerators, ovens, and other kitchen appliances.
- Wash cookware, utensils, dishes, glassware, and cups consistently after each meal and as necessary.
- Perform thorough deep cleaning tasks as requested.
- Restock and organize desserts, sandwiches, drinks, and condiments regularly.
- Assist with receiving, unloading, and storing kitchen supplies and inventory.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and quality regulations throughout kitchen operations.

Candidate Profile
- At least six months of experience in kitchen or catering roles within the food service, hospitality, or remote lodge industries.
- Fluency in English with strong written and oral communication abilities.
- Possession of FoodSafe Level I certification, with SafeCheck advanced food safety or HACCP certifications considered advantageous.
- Capability to manage multiple priorities effectively and organize workloads efficiently.
- Ability to pass the mandatory Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) test with an 80% or higher score.
