Job Overview

This role involves maintaining impeccable cleanliness and sanitation standards in kitchen environments, focusing on washing and sanitizing a variety of utensils and kitchen equipment to ensure health and safety compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, pots, pans, trays, and utensils using appropriate procedures and equipment.
• Polish silverware employing burnishing machine tumblers, chemical dips, buffing wheels, and hand cloths.
• Keep dish and kitchen areas tidy, ensuring all equipment is clean, functional, and complies with safety standards.
• Clean worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food preparation surfaces routinely.
• Handle waste by removing trash, placing it in designated bins, and steam cleaning or hosing out garbage cans when required.
• Support loading, unloading, and transfer of supplies, products, and equipment between storage and kitchen work areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Candidate Profile

• Possess a valid Food Handler Certificate or equivalent provincial certification.
• Capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
• Dishwashing experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with industrial washing machines is preferred.
• Ability to perform well under pressure.
• Physical fitness to fulfill the role's requirements.
