Position Overview
This permanent role is based at the City's Operations Centre in Maddington. The successful candidate will undertake road and path repairs and provide general maintenance to the City's pedestrian and road networks, ensuring all work is performed safely and to a high-quality standard.
Key Responsibilities and Qualifications
- Carry out road and path repairs along with general maintenance duties for civil infrastructure.
- Operate machinery safely, including front-end loaders and skid steers.
- Apply sound knowledge of engineering maintenance and civil construction practices.
- Read engineering plans and accurately calculate material quantities for ordering.
- Work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Experience using equipment such as pressure cleaners, sweepers, concrete grinders, and various other plant machinery is highly valued.
- Hold a current MR driver's licence and White Card.
- Have a recent National Police clearance (under 3 months old) ready for appointment conditions.
Employment Conditions and Benefits
- Full-time employment with 76 working hours per fortnight, with an option for a nine-day fortnight.
- Competitive salary of $85,002 per year plus superannuation, with contributions up to 17% subject to conditions.
