Position Overview

The General Dentist role involves the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of dental and oral health issues, ensuring the delivery of safe and effective patient care. The professional will provide tailored dental treatments and educate patients on maintaining oral health, adhering to clinical standards and organizational protocols.

Primary Duties

• Conduct thorough examinations and diagnose dental and oral health problems
• Carry out dental procedures such as preventive care, restorative work, and minor surgical interventions within the authorized practice scope
• Create personalized treatment plans and instruct patients on oral hygiene, preventative measures, and treatment alternatives
• Keep precise and up-to-date patient records, including clinical notes and treatment details
• Follow infection control protocols, ensure patient safety, and abide by clinical guidelines and institutional policies

Required Qualifications

• Possession of a Bachelor’s degree in Dentistry (BDS, DDS, DMD, or equivalent)
• Current SCFHS professional classification and registration
• At least one year of clinical experience as a Dentist
