About the Role
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is a leading IT services and consulting company with over 50 years of experience and a global presence in 53 countries. As a part of the Tata group, TCS employs over 616,171 consultants worldwide. The company is seeking a Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Administrator to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on a full-time, onsite basis. This role involves managing cloud infrastructure and deploying services using GCP technologies and infrastructure as code.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, configure, and maintain Google Cloud Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) components including Compute Engine, Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), Subnets, Firewalls, Load Balancers, and Cloud Storage.
- Deploy and oversee Platform as a Service (PaaS) offerings such as Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), App Engine, Cloud Run, and Cloud SQL.
- Architect and implement infrastructure code using Terraform, creating reusable modules for deployment automation.
- Apply Identity and Access Management (IAM) policies to enforce security through least privilege access principles.
- Establish monitoring, logging, and alerting mechanisms via Cloud Monitoring and Logging tools.
- Diagnose infrastructure-related issues and conduct root cause analysis for problem resolution.
- Integrate Terraform workflows within Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to automate infrastructure provisioning.
- Work closely with different teams and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Proven expertise in managing and operating projects on Google Cloud Platform.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform for automating cloud infrastructure deployments.
- Understanding of both IaaS and PaaS cloud service models.
- Practical knowledge of networking concepts, container orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes, and Linux operating systems.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI.
Preferred Attributes
- Certifications related to GCP, including Associate Cloud Engineer or Professional Cloud Architect.
- Experience working in multi-cloud environments involving AWS or Azure platforms.
- A background in applying security frameworks and maintaining compliance standards.
Experience Range
Applicants should have between 5 to 10 years of overall IT experience, with a minimum of 3 years specifically managing GCP environments.
