Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery for Data Engineering, BI & Visualization, Data Science, Data Analytics, and Customer Insights.
- Establish foundational infrastructure including environments, disaster recovery plans, CI/CD pipelines, and platform monitoring tools such as SnowMonitor.
- Design and implement performance testing frameworks for data pipelines and reports.
- Manage the Data Science lifecycle, including production model maintenance, MLOps configuration, and orchestration pipelines.
- Build and oversee onshore and offshore teams, ensuring effective knowledge transfer from shadowing through to steady state.
- Coordinate with Customer Insights teams and external partners to integrate insights within Snowflake analytics platforms.
- Maintain operational documentation including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), runbooks, Known Error Databases (KEDB), architectural and design documents, and knowledge bases.
- Enforce IT Service Management (ITSM) processes, Change Advisory Board (CAB) governance, and change management practices.
- Conduct governance meetings regularly with SLA/KPI monitoring, risk oversight, and ongoing process improvements.
- Manage dependencies across multiple projects, including onboarding, access control, and mitigating delivery risks.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focusing on self-serve enablement, report rationalization, and optimizing cost and performance.
Key Skills
- Demonstrated leadership in Data Engineering, Business Intelligence/Visualization, Data Science, Data Analytics, Customer Insights, Data Governance, and automation initiatives.
- Practical experience working with Snowflake data platforms, dbt, Airflow orchestration, Azure Blob storage, Fivetran ingestion tools, Bitbucket version control, and Python scripting.
- Expertise in Power BI governance with CI/CD pipeline management; knowledge of MicroStrategy legacy systems support.
- Competency in metadata management, data quality best practices, and Master Data Management (MDM) governance.
- Familiarity with ITSM frameworks, SLA/KPI metrics, and service delivery operation models.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and vendor coordination abilities.
- Preferred experience with Microsoft Fabric's F64 capacity, Qualtrics for customer insights, Jira Service Management (JSM) and Jira software practices.
- Skill in performance testing of data pipelines and reporting systems is an advantage.
