Job description

Role Overview

We are looking for a Game Data Analyst to translate player behaviour data into actionable insights that guide game design and live operations decisions. This role requires strong SQL expertise combined with an understanding of game design, enabling you to answer questions valuable to designers and producers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze metrics related to player behaviour, retention, monetization, and engagement.
  • Develop dashboards and reports to support live operations, design, and product teams.
  • Conduct A/B testing for new features, game balance changes, and live events.
  • Perform player segmentation and lifecycle analysis.
  • Collaborate with designers and producers to drive data-informed decisions.
  • Detect data quality issues and work closely with engineering teams to ensure proper data instrumentation.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years experience in game analytics, product analytics, or data analysis roles.
  • Proficient in SQL with experience using data warehouse technologies such as BigQuery, Snowflake, or Redshift.
  • Knowledge of business intelligence tools including Looker, Tableau, or Power BI and familiarity with game analytics platforms.
  • Competence in Python or R for data analysis purposes.
  • Strong grasp of key game performance indicators such as Daily Active Users (DAU), retention, Average Revenue Per Daily Active User (ARPDAU), and conversion rates.
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to convert complex data into clear recommendations.
