Furniture Assembler

Role Overview

The Furniture Assembler is responsible for constructing furniture using hand tools, ensuring each piece is assembled accurately and meets quality standards.

Key Duties

• Use hand tools to assemble and adjust furniture, including installing parts and hardware.
• Plan and determine the sequence of steps needed for furniture assembly.
• Clean and polish furniture and glass components to maintain appearance.
• Inspect completed furniture for completeness, defects, and functionality, documenting findings.
• Perform minor repairs and touch-ups to fix small defects.
• Identify pieces that meet quality criteria and separate those requiring further repair, organizing staging areas accordingly.
• Manage disposal of packaging materials and maintain cleanliness of work areas and facilities.
• Rotate between departments as needed to support business requirements.
• Engage in ongoing training about new systems and technology relevant to the position.
• Complete all assigned tasks from leadership to achieve daily production and quality targets.

Qualifications and Skills

• Mechanical aptitude suitable for furniture assembly tasks.
• Familiarity with training materials and communication resources related to the role.
• Awareness of security, safety, and loss prevention policies as per company guidelines.

Experience and Education

• At least 1 year of relevant work experience in furniture assembly or a related field.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.
