Functional Business Analyst

Overview

XPT Software Australia is seeking a seasoned Functional Business Analyst to join their Sydney location. The role demands over a decade of professional experience, specializing in the financial services sector. The successful candidate will excel in business analysis, engaging stakeholders, and shaping technology solutions that align precisely with organizational goals.

Key Duties

• Collect, analyze, and clearly document business requirements for diverse projects.
• Lead interactive workshops involving both business and technical teams to ensure comprehensive understanding.
• Develop and maintain detailed Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS) and Business Requirement Documents (BRD).
• Craft user stories, diagram process flows, and define use cases to guide solution development.
• Assist in designing solutions and validate their functionality to meet business needs.
• Work closely with development, quality assurance, and project management teams to support smooth delivery.
• Conduct gap analysis and suggest enhancements to current processes.
• Contribute to User Acceptance Testing (UAT) planning, oversee execution, and help resolve defects.
• Ensure that projects meet deadlines and are delivered successfully.

Essential Qualifications & Skills

• At least 8 years of experience in business analysis within the Financial Services domain.
• Proficient in writing and managing Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Requirement Documents (FRD), user stories, and use cases.
• Demonstrated expertise in Agile and Waterfall project management frameworks.
